Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon

Boosting the morale of deployed troops

Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon is an all-volunteer 501 (c (3) public charity that has been supporting our Troops since April 2003.  Revenue is about $600,000/yr and approximately 95 cents/$1 goes to our programs to improve morale of the Troops.

Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon is constantly sending care packages downrange to our
Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines.  These packages let our brave Americans know we are thinking about them and that their sacrifices far from home are not in vain.

Our most recent large packing event was June 8, 2018. We packed about 250 cartons of Girl Scout Cookies for our Troops. Currently, AaSP has 75 units we are supporting; some quite large, such as the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) nuclear Aircraft Carrier with 5,000 Sailors, Aviators and Marines aboard and the 101st Airborne in Afghanistan. We also have units in Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, the Arabian Gulf, the African continent, Djibouti, Syria, Korea and across the high seas. We send healthy snacks; entertainment amenities; coffee machines and fresh roasted coffee; exercise kits and anything else they might need. Also, we are now the official Care Package arm of the Special Forces Charitable Trust.  We recently sent ice chests to some Special Forces in the Sahara Desert as well as some healthy electrolyte-enriched fruit drinks, a donation from Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group.  We are currently sending these to all our Adoptees!
